You don't raise heroes, you raise sons.
And if you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes, even if it's just in your own eyes.

Feeling Anxious

With only 31 days to go until Joshua's estimated arrival date I'm starting to feel anxious. Then anxiousness is not about the labor and deliver or whether I'll be a good mom or not it's about organization. It may seem rather far fetched to many, I mean why would a person be so anxious over something that really has no significance. You see over the past four, almost five years, it's just been Raul and I. We have had things set in a way that is easy and convinent for us. Now we have a new little person coming into our lives that I am trying to make things as organized and simple as possible as we adjust to the changes in our lives. So I've slowly started going through the different rooms in the house.....I started with the kitchen yesterday. Yes, I tore my pantry apart trying to organize it and realized that I have things in there that I NEVER use and that just take up space and collect dust. Some things we use for our camping trips or gatherings at the house I have all over the table in need of being put in a box and put into the laundry room for future use. I'm sure I'll be spending a lot of time working in the kitchen this week making it more organized and ready to accomodate all the little items needed for a baby.

So, you're probably thinking what on earth prompted her to want to do all this? Well, Raul and I went Saturday morning to put new tires on his truck.....yep six new tires....he is as happy as a kid in a candy store. Since I am going to be staying home after Joshua is born we've been trying to find ways to keep within our means of one income instead of our current two incomes. We spent two hours at Sam's Club going down every single aisle writting down the dried and canned goods we use and should buy in bulk and the prices. If we go to Sam's Club we should only have to hit the grocery store up for perishable items....Milk, Creamer, Fruits, etc. Since Joshua won't be eating most of what we do for a while yet we would only need to hit the bulk items once every three months or so.
