You don't raise heroes, you raise sons.
And if you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes, even if it's just in your own eyes.

Why Today?

Photobucket

So this morning I pulled every single piece of Joshua's clothes out to wash them again in Baby detergent to try and help with his eczema. I managed one load before the washing machine started making a horrible noise. The drum would no longer spin. I need to call Sears and see if they will come back out and look at it. Hopefully they can be here this week.

Two Month Pediatric Appointment

My poor little baby. He looked right at me...paused for a minute...then started to just wail. We won't have to do this again until March.

One thing that Joshua enjoys at the office is the bright colored squares on the walls. I'll have to do something similar to his room.

More Everyday Pictures

Here is a picture of Joshua on his Tummy Time mat....no it does not make tummy time any easier. He still screams like his life is coming to a screeching halt (which leaves my ears ringing). He doesn't mind laying on it though and watching me talk to him.

Then there is my little Hoodini....sometimes he manages to get his arm out of his swaddle blanket.

Thumb Sucking

Yesterday while we were waiting for Daddy to come home I was holding Joshua and being super excited that I got my laptop to working again at a high rate of speed and of course back into the website I use to edit the pictures and post them. I grabbed my camera and managed to snap this photo. He is so adorable. I wish he would suck his thumb more often rather than his entire fist.

Two Months Old

My little baby boy is two months old and he slept for eight hours straight last night. Yep, he loves his mommy and daddy and let us sleep too.

Here are some pictures we took of him on Wednesday night. You can tell he is very happy about turning two months old.

Gifts

Joshua received gifts from his second cousins (is that what they are? My cousins anyway).

Photobucket

I'm loving the Baby Einstein Octopus....it teaches the colors in English, Spanish, and French. Their website could get me into trouble. They have some very cool toys on there.

Ransom

The ransom has been paid.....release the pictures.

John, you have no idea how hard it is to make cookies with a baby. Just when you think you can bake them all in one sitting, he wakes up. Okay, you can not open a 350 degree oven and pull out a sheet of cookies while holding a baby, whether it be in your arms or in a carrier. Although, he did spend a good amount of time in his papasan on the table watching me.

San Jose, CA in May

A New Video

Have to post a new video since I'm pretty sure that Mom is wearing the other two out already.

Sorry it's so dark...it was actually light in the room.

Pictures of Joshua

After his bath I had put him into his crib so that I could put some of his clothes away and he managed to put himself to sleep sucking on his pacimal. He must have been very tired.

Photobucket

Later in the day after his nap, he sat up on the couch and started sucking on his fist again.

Photobucket

Once Daddy came home we sat in the office for a little bit and I propped Joshua up on his booster seat. Had to hold up his head though.

Nursery Changes

We hung the blanket that Grandma Pauline sent to Joshua above his crib. It actually brightens up the room quite a bit.

Photobucket

I went to Target yesterday and bought this cube shelving to put his books and toys into to help declutter his room....and to think he can't even play with any of these yet.

Photobucket

I also could not resist this piggy bank....it's actually painted like a football.

He's Cozy

Well, I think we have the Moby Wrap figured out. I still might need to tie it a bit tighter next time I put him in it.

Weight Loss

I guess if this is true any extra weight I have should be dropping like flies at the rate Joshua has been eating.

Joshua's First Meeting

Joshua had his first meeting at the Kingdom Hall last night. He cried the entire time I dressed him, then I fed him and burped him. We put him in his car seat and he of course spit up on the way there and then fell asleep.

Irma got to hold him for the first part of the book study before he decided he was hungry again. So we went to the back and I never realized how hard it was to feed him when you have no arm rests or pillows to prop him up on. Especialy since we've been feeding him at a 45 degree angle to keep him from spitting up so often. He burped and we went back to sit down....which then resulted in some smiles as he filled up his diaper again (Yes....I'd already changed him once). Went back and changed him and then came back and sat down. By now we were already in the Service Meeting portion of the night. I missed the whole TMS Review. He started fussing again which required me standing at the back rocking him. By the final song for the night he had fallen asleep. Figures!

I felt bad that he was sleeping peacefully and I had to wake him up to change him for bed. Can I get away with having him in a sleeper for Thursday night meetings?

Photobucket

I need to find some shoes for meeting. I don't think his little tennis shoes will work. He needs some black, gray, and/or brown ones to go with his dress outfits. I am going to Payless Shoes today to see what they have to offer in sizes small enough for him.

Sole Posession of the Remote Controls

Looks what happens when you let Daddy watch him while you make breakfast. Not only does he get the best seat in the house....he gets the remotes too.....good thing it wasn't Saturday....we'd be watching nothing but cartoons. Maybe I should invest in some Baby Einstein DVD's.
