So not very baby related, but was part of being a stay at home mom. Raul said I could get new pots and pans since the ones we had were a mix of what Mom had given me when I first moved out and what he had when we got married. So for a while now I'd been saving for just the right ones for us. We went and bought them this weekend and I love using them already. Nothing sticks to them.

He's HOW BIG?!?!?!?!?
I knew I shouldn't have eaten that watermelon seed!!! He feels like he's that big now. I still can't believe I still have 21 days left and apparently he is gaining an ounce a day. Boy this kid better weigh 25lbs at least. He's super heavy and makes the end of the day pretty darn miserable with all the pushing around he's doing.

Nesting? Maybe . . . . .
Raul calls it Nesting. My intense need to organize every corner of my house. I haven't gone into full fledge cleaning mode yet, but I have been wanting to put things in "perfect" order and get things that we either never use or have no use for out of my house. Yesterday when I got home it was to organize the pantry after our shopping trip last weekend. It looks amazing. I can actually see what I have on hand to cook with.
I think tonight will be the laundry room and office. Not a whole lot needs to be done in these rooms, but it will make me feel a lot better about where things are. Raul said he is going to work on the garage and get it all finished this weekend so that will finally be off our plates. Maybe we can actually get some stuff put up into the attic so that we aren't tripping over everything. I want it done before Mom arrives because I want to be able to spend some relaxing time with her before Joshua arrives and turns my house into a flurry of action.

Baby Shower Outfit
Sissy and Mom are planning a Baby Shower in November for Joshua. The theme that was chosen is "Cowboy". So sissy is making up these cute invitations that have a Sheriff idea to them. I got a splendid idea today. I went through the little clothes I have and found this outfit. It will be perfect for his little appearance.

Feeling Anxious
With only 31 days to go until Joshua's estimated arrival date I'm starting to feel anxious. Then anxiousness is not about the labor and deliver or whether I'll be a good mom or not it's about organization. It may seem rather far fetched to many, I mean why would a person be so anxious over something that really has no significance. You see over the past four, almost five years, it's just been Raul and I. We have had things set in a way that is easy and convinent for us. Now we have a new little person coming into our lives that I am trying to make things as organized and simple as possible as we adjust to the changes in our lives. So I've slowly started going through the different rooms in the house.....I started with the kitchen yesterday. Yes, I tore my pantry apart trying to organize it and realized that I have things in there that I NEVER use and that just take up space and collect dust. Some things we use for our camping trips or gatherings at the house I have all over the table in need of being put in a box and put into the laundry room for future use. I'm sure I'll be spending a lot of time working in the kitchen this week making it more organized and ready to accomodate all the little items needed for a baby.
So, you're probably thinking what on earth prompted her to want to do all this? Well, Raul and I went Saturday morning to put new tires on his truck.....yep six new tires....he is as happy as a kid in a candy store. Since I am going to be staying home after Joshua is born we've been trying to find ways to keep within our means of one income instead of our current two incomes. We spent two hours at Sam's Club going down every single aisle writting down the dried and canned goods we use and should buy in bulk and the prices. If we go to Sam's Club we should only have to hit the grocery store up for perishable items....Milk, Creamer, Fruits, etc. Since Joshua won't be eating most of what we do for a while yet we would only need to hit the bulk items once every three months or so.

The Cradle
Mom sent the cradle that was used for Anastasia when she was a baby. Raul has slowly been putting it together. It took a bit because the dowls that hold the mattress wouldn't stay put to be glued together. Raul said he would do the sanding of it this weekend to get the glue off and of course the years of dust from being packed away.

I'll post a picture of it with all the parts put together soon.

Sleep? What's That?
It's official. I've hit that point in pregnancy where sleep is an elusive little creature. I am extremely uncomfortable at night. I've tried propping up on pillows and that doesn't work. I will sleep for 30mins to an hour and wake up to toss and turn for another hour. I can't lay on my sides...even if I try putting a pillow under my belly. It literally feels as if Joshua is going to claw his way out when I do that. I revert to laying on my back again and that causes sharp little pains in my sides and right near my belly button at first then slowly subsides and then I get lots of kicks from Joshua.
I can't wait until Nov. 1st. I won't have to get up by 5:45am to get ready for work, which in itself is like running a marrathon. Just to dry off after a shower I have to become a contortionist. It's just crazy.
Raul likes to remind me that I've made it 35wks and that I only have 5 more to go. I can do anything now. I love him to bits and hope he's right.

Today's Appointment
Well, to start....I will tend to get light headed just sitting around and Dr. Linares said that my blood pressure is dropping then and to drink lots of water. YEAH!!! I really thought it was going to be something worse.
Joshua was showing off for the fetal heart doppler. His heart beat was really quiet then kept getting louder because he kept moving closer. Dr. Linares said that he is definately head down and my right side aches all the time because he is curled up along that side. So it's his little rear end that is moving back and forth on my stomach and it's his little legs kicking me in the side.
One thing for sure...he's a happy little guy in there. I can't wait to meet him in a few weeks.
