I don't think that Joshua likes his new chair. This goes from being a seat that helps him learn how to sit up on his own, to a table with toys to entertain him, to a booster seat at the table.

He Doesn't Like It
Moby Wrap......All The Rave
So everyone is talking about the Moby Wrap to hold baby in. I am waiting for the exchange on my Polkadot Papoose Sling before I decide on one of these. Hopefully Joshua likes his Polkadot Sling. The Moby may be wonderful to get for complete control and to hold him comfortably and won't kill my back, which is hard to hold him a lot because it starts screaming to put my ten pound baby down. I don't think it would be bad to have a second sling/wrap on hand for different things we are doing.

Here is an instruction video on how baby would go into it:

Growing So Fast
Joshua is growing so fast. When he was born he weighed 7lb 8.8oz and was 20 1/4" long. Yesterday morning I weighed him at home (which may not be all that accurate, but gives us a good guess) and he weighed 10lbs. Using a tape measure from my sewing stuff he measured 23". Do you know what that means?!?!?!?!? Look at the length/weight on the clothes next time you buy them. We went to Target and bought him some sleepers and some pants, since the ones he had were starting to look more like shorts.....we actually bought 6 month sizes. Even bought some 9 month ones to have on hand if he keeps growing as fast as he is right now. I've been hearing that growth spurts come about every three weeks....which means by this time next week we'll be going through another one. Oh man....during those times he eats about every hour to hour and a half. He is absolutely beautiful. I'll load up some new pictures from this weekend soon.

Smiles and His Pacimal
Well, I sort of caught his smile on camera. He doesn't seem to like the cameras very much and will usually stop whatever he is doing and just stare at it.

We also got his Pacimal in the mail today. I got a mouse because it looked very similar to the stuffed mouse my dad had bought me before I was born. Joshua seems to like it a lot. I even stood him up and he kept it in his mouth.

6 Hours of Bliss
Oh Yeah!!! I'll never take a full night's sleep forgranted again. Last night I fed Joshua and then swaddled him up and rocked him to sleep in the rocker. Once he was asleep I layed him in his crib and put some blankets on him so he was all snuggly. That was 7:30pm . . . . . at 1:30am he woke up. It felt awesome to have my bed back for a short amount of time. Perhaps we should have invested in a King size bed. I hope that the sleeping in the crib becomes a habit.

18 Days Old Today!!!
Joshua is 18 days old today. It's amazing how time flies. He is slowly falling into some sort of sleep pattern. The fast three nights he's slept for over four hours and then wakes up and wants to eat and have his diaper chaned. Once those are completed he'll sleep for another two or two and a half hours before the process repeats itself.
At his two week check-up (he was actually just 10 days old) he had made huge improvements. Here are the numbers:
Birth: 7lbs, 8.8oz and 20.25" long
Leaving the Hospital: 7lbs
4 days old: 7lbs, 5.5oz
10 days old: 7lbs, 15oz and 21" long
He is growing like a weed. Here are some pictures taken recently of him:
