You don't raise heroes, you raise sons.
And if you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes, even if it's just in your own eyes.

Dancing In His Jumpy Jump

Joshua has seemed to figure out how to jump up and down....sort of. It looks more like a little Texas Two Step than anything else. I almost wanted to stick his boots and hat on to complete the look.

Rolling...Rolling...Rolling

Joshua has now started to master the art of rolling. We have now found that he rolls to his tummy in his sleep and I finally got his rolling from back to tummy on video. He always makes his mommy proud. He still has to master the art of both directions to keep himself moving around the room.

Heading Home

Tuesday morning we headed back home. Joshua was not nearly as happy to be heading home as he was to be coming out to Grandma's. He fussed for quite a bit of the trip. For the second half of the trip he fell asleep on me and then I fell asleep on Daddy. We were all very tired.

Joshua tried to grab the camera as I was taking a picture and this is the result....it's my favorite. He looks so adorable.

Daddy is going to need a vacation from his vacation. He is so tired.

On The Streets of San Francisco

On Monday Joshua started out his morning playing with his toys on Grandma's couch...it seemed to be a routine that he really enjoyed.

Playing with his toys really wore him out and watching him play with his toys really wore Grandpa out too.

Having breakfast at the Airport Cafe on our way to San Francisco.

Grandpa and Joshua watching the little planes take off.

Joshua trying on some of the hats at the Crazy Hat Store.

Grandpa, Grandma, and Joshua taking a rest, while Daddy ran to get the baby carrier.

Joshua holding Grandpas hand....well, his finger anyway.

Joshua is really happy in his big boy car seat. He's going to hate his infant carrier seat when we get home.

Laughing At Us

Here is the video of Joshua on Sunday. The first giggle came from absolutely no where at all. He just looked up from playing with his toys, looked right at all of us sitting eating lunch and laughed. Then Grandma started playing with him and we ended up with more giggles.

Meeting And A Barbecue

Sunday started with handing Joshua over to Grandma so that Daddy and Mommy could get all dressed up for meeting. Here is how Daddy found him....all tucked up on the couch.

Here is Joshua, Grandma, and Mommy all ready to head out the door.

After meeting we sat out back and had lunch while Joshua played with his toys...he was very happy about it and thought we were all funny chomping away on sandwiches.

Standing in the grass. The grass in California feels a lot different than the grass in Texas...it's much softer and Joshua liked to wiggle his toes in it.

There was limited shade so I put a blanket under the picnic table and laid Joshua down to play on the towel with some toys.

I found this little "bug" in the grass and just had to take a picture of it, because it was so cute.

Some guests at the barbecue

And at the end of the day a bath in the kitchen sink. He likes to play with his little ducky. Good thing I remembered to pack that thing.

Hanging Out

Saturday was our most lazy day. We got up and got all ready for breakfast at Flames and hung out at the house playing in the warm sun.

Joshua sitting in a big boy chair.

Joshua looking as cute as always and ready to hit the streets

Walking to Flames for breakfast

Playing in the backyard

Sitting on Grandma's couch with all his toys....and always smiling.

Taking an afternoon nap on Grandma

All dolled up and ready for dinner at La Milpa

Joshua was pretty excited to meet his big sister. He sat in the highchair at dinner and stared at her for the longest time.

At The Monterey Bay Aquarium

Friday we went to Monterrey to the Aquarium. Joshua is going to be a little fisherman....he loves fish. He watched every fish and even got to feel some of the sea urchins at the touch pools.

Heading to the aquarium......it's colder in Monterrey than it is at home in Texas.

Joshua with Grandma and Grandpa.

Grandma....you just carry me around....I'll tell you where I want to go next.

Grandma, Joshua, and Mommy

Looking at all the fish made everyone hungry so we went to Bubba Gumps where Joshua fell asleep on Grandma.

Joshua wanted to pet the Jellyfish so badly. He liked this exhibit the best.

This exhibit made him look so small. He's only 9.5" shy of 3' tall.

Attack of the Butterfly

Grandma playing with Joshua. He loves that butterfly and now he thinks it's funny when it flies through the air.

Off To Grandma and Grandpa's

We are off....after packing all week and not wanting to forget anything we are finally off. It was so fun actually being the one to go in and wake Joshua up...he's usually waking us up.

At the airport waiting for the plane to arrive and take us to Grandma and Grandpa.

Here is Joshua at take-off. He slept through the entire take-off.

During the flight he sat in Mommy's chair and was so happy about it.

And finally.....landing. He loved to stand up and look over the chairs at what other people were doing.

Trying to drink Grandma's beer....after all it was a long flight.

Hanging out with Grandpa before he left for a meeting.

And saying Bye to grandpa on his Harley.

Of course have to have a picture of Daddy with the Beer Fridge.....you know he wants one at home now.
