Eating By Himself

So Joshua has become very picky about what he eats. He wants to eat exactly what we are eating which means I have to get a little more creative about what we eat so that he gets to eat some too. Last night I made pasta and green beans to go with some BBQ'ed chicken that daddy cooked up and I pulled out Joshua's plate and put some green beans and pasta on it along with some diced ham. He ate a ton of food...I guess all he really wants to do is feed himself so the purees aren't going to be made much anymore....or maybe not at all depending on if I can get him to eat different things....he likes to put things into his mouth and then take it back out just to throw it on the floor.

All Clean

Joshua enjoyed his new bath toy from Grandma and would tense up his arms when we would put one of the rings on the floating part while he held two of the rings. I'll have to try and get it on video.

After getting out of the bath I went to put his towel on him and he took off. Apparently he wanted to find where Daddy went. In the last picture you can see Daddy coming back into the room and Joshua turned around really quick to run away from him.

Like Father...Like Son

Joshua and Raul were playing to the music of his little ball.

Sporting His Monkey Hat

Joshua in his little monkey hat and gloves. He gets all bundled up to go running with mommy in the mornings. I love his little crinkled nose in the first picture...the other two pictures he has a bored look on his face.

Blowing Kisses

Joshua blows kisses now. You can even hear him making the "Muah" noise after mine of course.

Helping Mommy Do Laundry

Joshua likes to help me fold, or in his case, unfold, the laundry. He does a really good job of it too. If you aren't fast enough he'll take the laundry basket away by walking it across the room....contents and all.

Playing In His Crib

Joshua decided to just walk around his crib after his bath this evening. We started playing with him and he started walking back and forth. I love how he walks with his little arms all up in the air. He's my little monkey.

He's Talking

Well, maybe I won't look so insane when I am talking to myself because now Joshua is starting to say more words.

So far the words all consist of:

Mama

Dada

Papa

Doggie

Ducky

and almost Tex

Grandma's Visiting

It seems like forever since I've posted any pictures of Joshua. It's just been very busy around here with him walking and getting into everything. He is starting to take off all by himself and walk to what ever is catching his eye.

At Starbucks

We went to a little store in Austin and Joshua had to have these two bulls. He carried them with a death grip through the store, out to the car, being put into his carseat, and on into his nap.

At the outlet mall on Sunday after meeting. His hat kept getting put on and his little ears kept getting pushed down.

All dressed up for meeting.

He didn't want his hat on the normal way....it had to be sideways.

Being silly with Daddy....he put his little basketball up his shirt.

He doesn't care much for Elmo slippers. Guess I'll have to wait till he's older and can decide what shoes he wants to wear.

Joshua is a very smart cookie when it comes to walking. He tends to take a couple steps stop and think about it and takes a few more. He is going to be off and running any day now I just know it. Here is just a small clip from this afternoon not long after he woke up from a nap.
