I still can't believe he is seventeen months old already. Seriously, where did the time go? What happened to that baby that barely cried those three days in the hospital? the baby that hated tummy time? the baby that loved nursing? the baby that wanted to be held ALL of the time?
He's all grown up. Now he runs around the yard, throws balls overhand, loves to go down the slide by himself, loves his swing, his doggie, and talking.
Joshua has learned to mimic the sounds of the chickens, the rooster, the cows,, the lambs, the dog, and still mimics the sound of socks' meow.
Here he is yesterday morning snacking and playing.
His latest words at seventeen months are: Bull, Papa, Yum, and Pete (from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse), Papos (shoes in Spanish). He will try to mimic any word we say to him so we are in for a very early talker. He also has learned to use some ASL and will use some of the signs when he wants something.
