You don't raise heroes, you raise sons.
And if you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes, even if it's just in your own eyes.

He's Climbing Now

Joshua is showing us how skilled he is with climbing in and out of his bed. We are trying to spend a little bit each day playing in his bed so that he thinks of it as a good place to be and not a little prison that Mommy and Daddy put him in to get away from him because they have more "important" things to do. So we put him into his bed after he fell asleep last night and he slept in it for almost an hour and probably would have either gone the whole night or at least a few hours more if he hadn't moved forward and hit his scout dog and it started talking to him, which in turn, scared the crude out of Raul and Joshua who woke up crying. He ended up back with us and snuggled up to me with his arms wrapped around my neck and his leg thrown over my stomach. Getting him to sleep in his own bed will have me missing my morning kisses and "Mama" being said to me repeatedly.
