You don't raise heroes, you raise sons.
And if you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes, even if it's just in your own eyes.

Sleeping

Yesterday afternoon I had a pasta salad for lunch....it was probably a bit on the old side so I had the worst stomach ache....no I do not have the swine flu....it was just bad food, because today I feel much better. Joshua got half a banana for dinner, then a bath, more food and then refused to pass out for the night.....granted we tried to put him to bed at 6:00pm. Isn't it funny that we tend to put him to bed if we aren't feeling good. So I figured he could come to bed with me and we'd get some rest. He ate again and slept for 45mins. Daddy came into bed and pulled him over to him, cuddled him, and nothing worked....so he put him on his tummy. Instant quiet. I wasn't going to let him sleep on his tummy in our bed so I picked him up and put him in his crib....yep...on his tummy with his lovey on his back. He slept like this for two hours.

He then woke up at 2am to be fed and would not go back to sleep so I had to swaddle his arms and he slept from 2:30am till 8:00am. Yes this mommy feels much better and very rested.

His dinner was the best though. Raul put a banana into the mesh feeder and gave it to Joshua. He smashed it all up through the mesh....he had banana everywhere...even between his toes because he kept grabbing his little feet.
