You don't raise heroes, you raise sons.
And if you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes, even if it's just in your own eyes.

The Ten Commandments For Parents

01. Love your child with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, using wisdom and understanding.

02. Think of your child not as something that belongs to you but as a person with a distinct personality.

03. Consider your child’s love and respect not as something to be demanded, but as a precious gift to be merited.

04. When you become impatient with your child’s immaturity and mistakes, remember your own past errors and falls.

05. Remember that it is a privilege for your child to hold you up as a hero, but be sure you are worthy of this.

06. Your example always speaks much more eloquently than any disciplinary measures and punishment.

07. Struggle to be a shining light on the road of your child’s life, rather than be an obstacle in his/her path.

08. Teach your child self-confidence and how to struggle, always confident in God and in his/her own strength.

09. Teach your child to see the beauty all around, to practice goodness, to love the truth and to be a friend to all.

10. Turn your house into a true home - a place of joy for your children, your friends and your children’s friends.
