You don't raise heroes, you raise sons.
And if you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes, even if it's just in your own eyes.

2009-2010 District Convention - Day One

Our district convention this year was also Joshua's first (of many over the years). We sat down on the floor like we have the past couple of years thinking that we would have lots of room to spread out and lay Joshua down on the floor when he takes a nap.....we were packed in down there like sardines. It went well though because Joshua had his little seat that we attached to one next to us and he sat in that for a short amount of time in little increments throughout the day.

Joshua slept through the first half of the morning session and when he woke up he did amazingly well until about 15 minutes before the lunch intermission. He knew it was getting close to lunch and wanted everyone around him to know that he was hungry for some food.

So we got him all set up in his chair for lunch and what happened...Mommy forgot to pull one of his spoons out of the basket and put it in the cooler so he had to eat his lunch out of a big spoon, which he did great at.

We walked around and got some pictures then went back to the hotel and changed, went to Pizza hut, came back to the hotel, gave Joshua a bath, and tried to get some sleep so we could be well rested for the next day.

Mommy and Joshua when we found our seats in the morning:

Sitting in his chair....he wanted the program very badly.

The family

After his bath...he tried to run away from mommy.

Then he was fed and fell asleep all set up on the bed.

Playing With Daddy

Joshua loves playing with his daddy, especially when he needs to be in bed for the night.

Time For Items From His Wishlist

I think that it is time to start buying the items that Joshua can hold onto while he walks from his wishlist (see labels for link).
