You don't raise heroes, you raise sons.
And if you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes, even if it's just in your own eyes.

Bathtime Fun

Photobucket
Joshua is such a little fish when it comes to water. He would sleep in the bathtub if we let him. He plays and plays and plays until the water gets cold. The minute he stands up he comes out of the water and will fuss about it because he wasn't actually ready to come out. He stands up so that he can splash the water while standing up.

Here he is showing off his teeth. When you zoom into the picture you can see his new bottom tooth that came in.
His new bath toy. Keeps him from bumping his head on the faucet.
Trying to drink the water or lick the bubbles, can't decide which.
Just plain being silly.
Loving his bubble bath.

Laughing Up A Storm

Photobucket
Yesterday was one of those days that Joshua thought everything was funny. He laughed while I trimmed up the rose bushes in the front yard and he played with a softball. He laughed while watching the DVD "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs". He laughed while playing with his foam alphabet and numbers. He laughed while setting up Nana and Papa's bed. He laughed while eating his animal crackers. He was just in a laughing mood all day.

Going to Afternoon Meeting Now

Before meeting he ate his lunch since we now have meeting at 1:00pm instead of 10:00am. He liked the bib although it is a little long in the sleeves and he tried to eat them instead of his cookies.

He looked so cute in his suit today. I must find him some shoes. Everyone has been sold out of size 5 dress shoes for little boys. I have noticed that there are a gazillion different shoes for girls so obviously the obsession to have every shoe in every color starts early, but come on....can they not keep the boy ones stocked to that we can buy them.

After meeting we got Joshua's hats and boots back from Javen, who had borrowed them for his pictures, and Daddy couldn't wait to put the hat on him and see how he looked. He still hates it and wants to take it off as quickly as he can.

I Just Want Some Water

Joshua was being silly last night in the tub trying to drink water out of his bucket.
Silly boy couldn't figure out why the water didn't end up in his mouth.
